Tartol Chrome extension

Save Facebook ads in one click

Save ads from the Meta Ad Library to your Tartol boards with Save ad, and follow the advertiser with Track brand. Media, copy and advertiser details come with every save.

Free to install in Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers. Saving ads and tracking brands need an active plan or the 7-day free trial.

The problem

Why saving ads by hand breaks down

The Meta Ad Library is where you see what brands are running. Keeping the good ones is the hard part.

Screenshots eat your research time

Right-click, download, rename, drag into a folder, then repeat for every ad. The busywork takes time you could spend finding ideas worth testing.

Swipe files turn into junk drawers

Random screenshots in random folders, with no brand, no copy and no dates. Two weeks later you cannot find the ad that made you stop scrolling.

The Ad Library has no save button

The Meta Ad Library shows what brands are running, but it has no way to save, organize or export the ads you want to keep.

How it works

Set it up once, then save while you browse

Four steps from install to your first saved ad. The setup guide walks through each one.

  1. Install the extension

Add Tartol from the official Chrome Web Store listing. Avoid similarly named third-party extensions.

  2. Sign in and pick a workspace

Start the sign-in from the extension with your Tartol account (your email must be verified), then choose the workspace your saves go to.

  3. Save ads to your boards

Open the Meta Ad Library, click Save ad on a supported ad and choose one or more boards. Check the result in Saved Ads.

  4. Track the brand

Open the advertiser's page in the Ad Library and click Track brand to add it to Brand Tracker and follow its new, active and paused ads.

What you get

What the extension does

Two buttons inside the Meta Ad Library: Save ad and Track brand. Everything you save lands in your Tartol workspace.

Save ad, straight to your boards

A Save ad button sits on each supported ad in the Meta Ad Library. Pick one or more boards from its dropdown, or create a new board or folder from the extension.

Track brand from the advertiser's page

Add the advertiser to Brand Tracker from its Ad Library page. Tracked brands count toward your plan: 5 on Creator, 15 on Pro and 50 on Agency.

The full ad, not a screenshot

Each save keeps the media, ad copy, advertiser, start date, call to action and landing page, so you can search and filter the ad later.

Ready in Saved Ads

Saved ads appear in Saved Ads in Tartol, where you can tag, rate and share them, or send supported image ads to Clone to make your own version.

Your workspace, your permissions

Choose the workspace in the extension. Saves follow the same workspace and role permissions as the Tartol app.

No credits used

Saving ads never uses credits. Credits only pay for AI work such as generating image ads, writing copy and editing images.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Tartol Chrome extension free?
The extension is free to install. Saving ads and tracking brands need an active Creator, Pro or Agency plan, or the 7-day free trial, on the workspace you save to.
Which browsers does it work on?
Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other Chromium-based browsers that support Chrome Web Store extensions. Firefox and Safari are not supported yet.
Does it work on the Facebook Ad Library?
Yes. The extension is built for the Meta Ad Library (facebook.com/ads/library). Supported ads get a Save ad button, and an advertiser's Ad Library page gets a Track brand button.
Can I add brands to Brand Tracker from the extension?
Yes. Open the advertiser's page in the Meta Ad Library and click Track brand to add that brand to Brand Tracker. Tracked brands count toward your plan's limit: 5 on Creator, 15 on Pro and 50 on Agency.
Which workspace and board do my saves go to?
Saves go to the workspace selected in the extension. Choose one or more boards from the Save ad dropdown, or create a new board or folder from the extension first.
Do saved ads count against my credits?
No. Saving ads never uses credits. Credits are only spent on AI generation features such as image ads, copywriting and image editing.
The Save ad button does not appear. What should I check?
Reload the Ad Library page after installing or updating the extension. Check that you are signed in, that your email is verified and that the right workspace is selected. Start the sign-in from the extension itself, and confirm the ad format is supported. The setup guide at tartol.com/docs/chrome-extension covers each step.
How is this different from screenshotting ads?
Screenshots are flat images. Tartol saves the full ad: media, copy, advertiser details, start date and landing page. You can search it, tag it, organize it into boards and send supported image ads to Clone.
